Deconvolution

Postby Feel » Fri Apr 09, 2010 10:28 am

Hi!
I was thinking about using deconvolution on my images prior to analysis.
Have you ever thought about adding a deconvolution module?
I've seing some phyton libraries for deconvolution that may not be very hard to import.
My programming knowledge is very poor so sorry if I'm asking about something pretty hard.
What do you think?

We do not have any deconvolution algorithms currently in CellProfiler, but I will add it to our suggested to-do list.

Did you mean color deconvolution (as it's done by the ImageJ plugin http://www.dentistry.bham.ac.uk/landinig/software/cdeconv/cdeconv.html) for separating light-absobing dye stains? There's also deconvolution for focusing which is another sort of problem.
